open: Wed–Sun 1–6 pm

An artistic collective living and working in Amsterdam, active mainly in graphic design with a significant overlap with visual arts, publishing and Internet activism, will present an overview of their past work along with a new site-specific project.

Truth Futurism brings into the exhibition context Metahaven’s online film project Information Skies, commissioned by the 11th Gwagju Biennale. Metahaven, a Dutch collective founded by Vinca Kruk and Daniel van der Velden, operates on the borderlines between graphic design, visual arts, aesthetics and political discourse. Information Skies, conceived as a continuation of the documentary film The Sprawl (Propaganda About Propaganda), opens up a vision of a new post-human identity transformed by virtual reality experiences in a collage of live footage and animation. Questioning understanding of conventionalised ideas of “truth” and “law” in times when artificial fabrication of belief systems is losing any boundaries or relation to our reality.
